Hello, I am trying to install the latest Trex version so that I can begin using eclipse to edit some TTCN-3 files. I have done an install using the eclipse in-built installer, this much was fine and successful. When I restart eclipse, I can find no "TTCN-3" project perspective, and there is no entry to add one when creating a new project. Eclipse does not offer to switch to TTCN-3 perspective when I open a .ttcn file. Can another user please verify that I am using correct versions of components (or ones that will work): I have the latest updated eclipse europa: 3.3.1.1, all updates installed. I tried eclipse-sdk as well as eclipse-cdt. I have the latest java - 1.6 release 10 Does anyone know what the problem is? sincerely, Nick Aschberger
Hello Nick, thank you for writing. Can you please tell me what platform you are using? I'll attempt to reproduce the problem then. Best regards, Benjamin Nick Aschberger wrote:

Hello Benjamin, I actually have tried windows XP (SP2) and Ubuntu (the latest one, whatever version that is. :) ). I have had some success this morning actually, I have TRex working in eclipse on Ubuntu. Previously, I had an install of eclipse that I had updated through the eclipse updater to be v3.3.2. This was an eclipse install with CDT, also pydev installed. And this was the problem. :) After completely removing the eclipse install (I also removed all of my "metadata" and deleted my workspace), and dl'ing then installing a fresh eclipse SDK 3.3.2 - this works when installing TRex with the built in updater. So in the end, it was some weird issue with my eclipse install being updated from some older version. Sorry for the false alarm. cheers Nick Benjamin Zeiss wrote:
